I am pleased to announce the publication of my second book, The Flagging Empire, available now on all Amazon platforms. This is a collection of all my writings on the UK, including the 3-part series on Ireland. It also includes new material that has not yet appeared on my blog. This includes a major feature entitled Brexit Britannia, the Kingdom of Capital, which provides an in-depth analysis of the development of British capitalism and its attempt to navigate a path through the turbulent waters of the 21st century.

The book tears down the facade of democracy and reveals the glaring class inequalities which continue to govern its policies both at home and abroad. Whilst covering a broad range of topics, dealing with race, class, language and nationality, the book explains these as a function of contemporary imperialism, which continues to characterise the basic character of the British state.
